Little Change in Ag Canada Pea OutlookWINNIPEG - Sep 1/06 - SNS -- In its latest monthly review of Canadian field peas Agriculture Canada's market analysis branch in Winnipeg maintained its prediction production in Canada in 2006 will fall from 3.1 million metric tons (MT) to 2.784 million, down 160,000 from its previous forecast. Seeded area rose 4% to 3.51 million acres, unchanged from last month's forecast; while harvest area is forecast at 3.44 million acres, up 110,000 from last month. Agriculture Canada expects this season's exports to finish around 2.5 million MT, unchanged from last month. It is forecasting exports in 2006-07 at 2.0 million MT, unchanged from last month. This season's domestic use is estimated at 975,000 MT, down 10,000 from last month's forecast, while usage in 2006-07 is forecast at 984,000 MT, down 16,000 MT on the month.
