Dairy Product Markets Strengthen
WASHINGTON - Sep 1/06 - SNS -- Dairy product markets in the United States were all higher over the seven days ending August 26, reveals the latest USDA report on the sector.
Cheddar Cheese prices realized for US 40 pound Blocks averaged $1.19 per pound. The price per pound increased 1.9 cents from last week. The price for US 500 pound Barrels adjusted to 38% moisture averaged $1.20 per pound, up 3.9 cents compared to the previous week.
Butter prices paid for 25 kilogram and 68 pound boxes meeting USDA Grade AA standards averaged $1.24 per pound. The U.S. price per pound rose 1.8 cents compared to the previous week.
Nonfat Dry Milk prices realized for bag, tote and tanker sales meeting USDA Extra Grade or USPH Grade A standards averaged 85.4 cents per pound. The U.S. price per pound rose 0.8 cents from the previous week.
