USDA Monthly Bean Invitations Totals 660 MT
KANSAS CITY - Aug 22/06 - STAT -- The total quantity of dry edible beans covered by USDA PL-480 food aid tenders this season now totals 2,280 MT, compared to 9,330 MT last year.
Within the bean complex, the USDA is mostly buying colored beans, with purchases down 6,550 MT from last year's 8,830 MT level.
