China Drought Supporting BeansVANCOUVER - Aug 18/06 - SNS -- Dry edible bean markets continued to register a mixed performance during the past week against relatively light buying interest. Exporters are beginning to question the size of this year's dry edible bean harvest in China because importers seem more willing to pay up for Latin and North American product than expected. Importers would normally be expected to cover much of their small caliber and colored bean needs in the November and December delivery period from China.
