ADM Finalizes MCP Merger
DECATUR - Sep 9/02 - SNS -- Archer Daniels Midland Company finalized its purchase of Minnesota Corn Processors, LLC (MCP). MCP owns and operates corn wet-milling plants located in Marshall, Minnesota and Columbus, Nebraska.
"The combination of the MCP plants with the existing corn processing facilities of ADM will provide additional operational efficiencies and better position ADM to serve the corn sweeteners, other corn products and expanding ethanol markets," stated Paul B. Mulhollem, President and Chief Operating Officer of ADM.
