Dairy Product Markets Advance
WASHINGTON - Aug 18/06 - SNS -- Dairy product markets in the United States were all higher for the seven days finishing August 12, reveals this USDA sector report.
Cheddar Cheese prices paid for US 40 pound Blocks averaged $1.16 per pound. The price per pound gained 1.9 cents from last week. The price for US 500 pound Barrels adjusted to 38% moisture averaged $1.15 per pound, up 0.6 cents from the previous week.
Butter prices realized for 25 kilogram and 68 pound boxes meeting USDA Grade AA standards averaged $1.21 per pound. The U.S. price per pound increased 6.1 cents from last week.
Nonfat Dry Milk prices received for bag, tote and tanker sales meeting USDA Extra Grade or USPH Grade A standards averaged 84.8 cents per pound. The U.S. price per pound gained 0.2 cents compared to the previous week.
