Agricore Finalizes Hi-Pro Feeds Deal
WINNIPEG - Aug 15/06 - SNS -- Agricore United finalized its purchase of Hi-Pro Feeds of Friona, Texas, for an estimated $38.5 million. The deal was completed through the newly incorporated U.S. subsidiary, Unifeed Hi-Pro Inc.
The purchases gives Agricore another 600,000 metric tons (MT) of feed manufacturing capacity in Texas and New Mexico, among the highest growth markets in the U.S. dairy industry.
