Beans Lifted by General Market Bullishness
VANCOUVER - Sep 6/02 - STAT -- North American dry edible bean markets were able to participate in the bullishness surrounding this year's specialty crop harvest, with spot markets advancing on the week.
Deferred markets remain discounted to spot, which are influenced by delays with the harvest on account of wet weather in several key production areas. This had a clear impact on the spot market index for dry edible beans, which finished trading up 23 points at 711.
