Dairy Product Markets Generally Firmer
WASHINGTON - Aug 11/06 - SNS -- Dairy product markets in the United States were largely firmer across the seven days closing August 5, reveals the latest USDA report.
Cheddar Cheese prices obtained for US 40 pound Blocks averaged $1.14 per pound. The price per pound dropped 1.0 cents from last week. The price for US 500 pound Barrels adjusted to 38% moisture averaged $1.14 per pound, up 1.5 cents versus the previous week.
Butter prices received for 25 kilogram and 68 pound boxes meeting USDA Grade AA standards averaged $1.15 per pound. The U.S. price per pound gained 1.0 cents from the previous week.
Nonfat Dry Milk prices realized for bag, tote and tanker sales meeting USDA Extra Grade or USPH Grade A standards averaged 84.6 cents per pound. The U.S. price per pound advanced 0.9 cents compared to the previous week.
