Domestic shipment: Offers, fob mills, milled rice, spot prices, dollars per
cwt, bagged. (All milled rice grade No 2 not to exceed 4 percent brokens,
except California grade No 1. All second heads grade No 4 or better, second
head and brewers are bulk.)

Domestic Situation
Domestic milled rice price quotes in the south were steady to higher; in
California steady. By-products were uneven in the south; higher in California.
In the south, long grain rice prices were steady to 50 cents higher, quoted
mostly at 17.50-18.50; medium grain prices were steady, quoted mostly at 21.00-
21.50; parboiled rice prices were steady to instances 1.00 higher, quoted mostly
from 18.50-21.00; second heads were steady; brewers were steady, quoted mostly
at 9.25-10.00. Rice by-products: Offers for rice bran were mostly steady. Wide
price range continues in Arkansas for bran as supplies are tight and difficult
to find at best with quotes mostly at 62.00. Millfeed was steady to 3.00 higher
in a lightly tested trade; hulls were steady to 2.00 higher.
In California, medium grain milled rice prices were steady, quoted mostly
from 23.00-24.00; short grain prices were steady; second heads were steady;
brewers were steady. Rice bran was 3.00 higher; rice hulls were 2.00-4.00
higher.
