Canada's Weekly Exports Total 551,600 MT

WINNIPEG - Aug 4/06 - STAT -- Export clearances of all grains and oilseeds shipped from Canada total 26,066,100 metric tons (MT) so far this marketing year up 5,351,100 MT from the 20,715,000 moved last year.

The latest report from the Canadian Grain Commission (CGC) summarized weekly product movement through licensed primary and terminal elevator facilities for the week ending July 30.

Grower deliveries during the week included 670,700 MT of wheat; 140,100 MT of durum; 37,200 MT of oats; 73,300 MT of barley; 10,700 MT of flax; 217,800 MT of canola; 11,700 MT of peas; and 1,100 MT of corn.

The CGC pegged total exports during the week at 551,600 MT. On the grain side this included including 286,300 MT of wheat; 50,300 MT of durum; 25,100 MT of oats; 26,400 MT of barley; and no corn.
