Weekly Canadian Crush Declines
WINNIPEG - Aug 4/06 -- STAT -- The Canadian Oilseed Processors Association (COPA) reports weekly crush in that country totalled 56,105 metric tons (MT) of canola and 30,891 of soybeans during the week ending August 2.
The numbers, as reported to the association by member firms, show canola crush fell 20.8%, for a third week of decreased activity. Soybean crush rose 8.4%, for a third week of rising activity.
The weekly crush totals combine the last four days of the 2005-06 season and the first three days of the 2006-07 marketing year.
