No 1 B-90 Type Chickpea Grower Price Review in Canada
VANCOUVER - Aug 3/06 - STAT -- Canadian No 1 B-90 Type Chickpea markets finished the 2005-06 marketing year with prices offered to growers soaring 16% above the recent three year average annual price offered to growers in that country.
The average price paid for No 1 B-90 Type Chickpea was CDN$458.10 per metric ton (MT), compared to an average annual bid of $393.22 during the latest three year period for farmers dressed merchandise delivered processing plants.
Analysis of the monthly bid pattern reveals growers the highest monthly average bid was $507.10 per MT in May, while the lowest monthly average bid level was $405.10 per MT in September.
