For Friday WARNINGS: Strong Wind Warning for NSW Coastal Waters north of Port Macquarie. STATE FORECAST Cloud increasing with a few showers or light patchy rain about the southwest and northeast of the state, contracting through most areas of NSW to the northeast of the state during the day. The chance of isolated afternoon thunderstorms in the northeast. Mild in south, grading to very warm in northeast. Moderate northwest winds, freshening ahead of a moderate to fresh west to southwest change in the west, extending into the northeast inland by the evening. Winds strong at times on the ranges.
