United States Grower Bean Index HistoryVANCOUVER - Sep 5/02 - STAT -- The grower price index for dry edible beans grown in the United States at the close of the 2001-02 marketing year rocketing 35% above the recent three year average. For the season just ended, the Bean Index was 804 points, compared to an annual average of 594 during the previous three year period for farmers dressed merchandise delivered processing plants.
