North American Field Peas FirmVANCOUVER- Jul 28/06 - SNS -- Field pea markets finished the week on a firmer note in both Canada and the United States against worries about the impact hot and dry conditions will have on yields. This year's harvest has begun on both countries, with processors in the United States reporting below average yields but excellent quality. Processors in Canada say initial yields are good, but they expect them to decline as later seeded crops come to maturity.
