High Prices Delay Indian Pulse TenderNEW DELHI - Jul 28/06 - SNS -- Government controlled trading enterprises which were tendering to buy 191,500 metric tons (MT) of pulses have delayed the tenders indefinitely because they believe prices on world markets are at a premium to the country's domestic market. The tenders were mainly for dry edible beans, which would have been supplied by exporters in Myanmar. However, the affected tenders also requested offers of 13,500 MT of chickpeas and 25,000 MT of whole yellow peas, which would probably have been supplied by countries other than Myanmar.
