USDA Cancels Lentil tenderKANSAS CITY - Jul 25/06 - SNS -- The USDA's Commodity Credit Corporation office here cancelled a tender seeking 2,440 metric tons (MT) of lentils for shipment to Sri Lanka. The tender was for U.S. No. 2 or better whole crimson and/or whole red lentils for shipment between August 13 and August 26 from inland plants and between August 27 and September 9 from plants located at the port. The USDA said the tender was "cancelled . . . due to a change in program requirements. All prospective bidders will be given the opportunity to bid on any resolicitation of bids."
