Little Change in Edible Bean ConditionWASHINGTON - Jul 24/06 - SNS -- The condition of dry edible bean crops in the United States was little changed during the past week, judging from the latest state level crop progress reports. Most of the crop is rated fair to good, with crops rated 60% or more good to excellent in Colorado, Michigan and Washington. Crops are rated 40% fair or worse in Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota and Wyoming. There is no harvest activity reported in dry edible beans. On the other hand, crop reporters in Idaho say 10% of the state's field pea crop is now in the bin, versus 5% at this time last year; while 16% of North Dakota's field pea crop is in the bin; compared to 35% in Washington State, which is down from 44% harvested at this time last year.
