Heat Wave Lifts Canaryseed Price
VANCOUVER - Jul 21/06 - SNS -- Hot and dry conditions across much of the U.S. midwest and spreading into Canada is having an impact on birdseed ingredient markets.
This reflects that fact that both canaryseed and millet yields can drought precipitously if temperatures get too high.
Canaryseed is especially vulnerable and, while early, some traders are assuming an extremely cautious approach to making any additional sales at this time.
