Frozen Poultry Inventories Up
WASHINGTON - July 21/06 - SNS -- Total frozen poultry supplies at the end of June were up 4% from the previous month, and 8% above last year, according to the USDA's latest report on agricultural products in cold storage.
At 782 million pounds, total stocks of chicken were up 1% pounds from the previous month, and up 13% from last year. Frozen egg stocks were up 5% on the month at 22.1 million pounds.
At 505 million pounds, total pounds of turkey in freezers were up 39 million pounds from last month and down 1 million pounds from last year.
