CSCA Elects New Board
WINNIPEG - Jul 17/06 - SNS -- The Canadian Special Crops Association's (CSCA) board of directors named Murad Al-Katib from SaskCan Pulse Trading Inc. the association new president.
Larraine Adrain (Agricom International Inc.), Rob Tisdale (Agricore United) and John Ferguson (Ferguson Bros. of St. Thomas) are new members of the Board, replacing Sean MacKenzie and Steve Foster. However, as per Article XXVIII of the CSCA Constitution, Steve Foster will continue to serve as an ex-officio member of the Board.
We are also pleased to inform you that Rob Tisdale was elected as Vice-President and Secretary/Treasurer of the Board of Directors. Allan Johnston (A.J. BAT) and Saleh Reda (GEDCO) will continue to serve their two-year terms on the Board. Anthony Kulbacki (Walker Seeds) will hold an ex-officio position on the Board.
There were no elections for the Board of Appeals since the CSCA only received five nominations to the Board by the time of our meeting in Lethbridge. Elected by acclamation were: Tracy Oslund (SWP), Brian Johnson (S.S. Johnson Seeds), Scott Cunningham (Agtech Processors), Dwayne Boyd (Central Canada Commodities) and Darren Lemiux (Simpson Seeds).
