Market Happy With U.S. Pea AreaVANCOUVER - Jul 14/06 - SNS -- Field pea markets were pleased with the latest USDA seeded area estimates for the crop in the United States because instead of jumping a third or more, acreage was only up 10.8%. Indian imports are expected to be up, helped by elimination of import duties and requests by the government that companies it controls import pulses to help boost domestic supplies in hopes of reducing prices on wholesale markets.
