Lentil Harvests Around CornerVANCOUVER - Jul 14/06 - SNS -- Spot lentil markets remained under pressure during the past week as growers and processors in Canada worked to clear room for the coming harvest. The situation is made more complicated by the proximity of the U.S. and Turkish harvests, with new crop product from those origins expected to flow freely before the end of August. If weather conditions hold, some early seeded lentils should be harvested in August and limited volumes of new crop product ready to move from origin in Canada.
