Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 2/02 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Western Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Warnings
A gale warning is current for all Victorian coastal waters  and a strong wind
warning for Port Phillip and Western Port.
A Land Wind warning is current for the central and eastern Victoria for early
Tuesday.
Weather Pattern
A cold front over central Victoria will move across the remainder of the State
by early Tuesday. Another cold front will cross the State during Tuesday night
and early Wednesday followed by yet another front on Thursday night and Friday
morning.
Victoria
Tuesday:   Patchy rain and isolated thunderstorms clearing eastwards during the
morning, but isolated showers to follow, mostly about the ranges and over the
southwest.  A cool to mild day with a fresh northwesterly wind. 
UV Index: 5 [High] reduced to 2 [moderate] under cloud. 
Wednesday: Scattered showers, mostly over the ranges and southwest. Cool.
Thursday:  Fine apart from isolated showers near the coast and later in the
west. Cool to mild.
Friday:    Showers mainly on and south of the ranges. Cool.

fine, partly cloudy afternoon to follow. Fresh northwesterly wind.

Thursday:  Northwesterly winds  around 15 to 20 knots.
Friday:    North to northwesterly wind 20 to 25 knots.
