MELBOURNE - Sep 1/02 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Western Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

WARNINGS:
Storm Warning for coastal waters from Cape Leeuwin to Israelite Bay.
Gale Warning for coastal waters  from Jurien  Bay to Cape Leeuwin and Israelite
Bay to Eucla.
Strong Wind Warning for coastal waters from NW Cape to Jurien Bay.
Severe Wind Warning for the Southwest district and  Southern Coastal district.
Warning for Sheep Farmers in the SW Land Division.

STATE FORECAST
SW Land Division:  Showers easing and becoming isolated inland. Cool to cold
W/SW winds, strong and squally at times  in the south.
Eucla and southern Interior: Cooler, strong W'ly winds with some showers.
Goldfields, Gascoyne,  west Pilbara:   Some showers, contracting north and
clearing.  
PERTH AND METROPOLITAN:
A few showers. Fresh SW winds.

Mandurah:  Min: 10    Max: 17
