Quiet Week on Bean MarketsVANCOUVER - Jul 7/06 - SNS -- North American dry edible bean markets were quiet during the past week, with many traders in Canada and the United States off work on Monday and Tuesday as both countries celebrated national holidays. Canadian market participants were also distracted by the start of this year's Canadian Special Crops Association annual meeting in Lethbridge, Alberta, at week's end. Traders started arriving in the city on Thursday for a convention which will run through July 11. Argentine markets were busier during the week, with trading reported for black beans to Venezuela and small caliber wheat beans to the middle East and Algeria.
