Mixed Performance for LentilsVANCOUVER - Jul 7/06 - SNS -- Lentil markets managed a mixed performance under relatively trading interest during the past week. Selling pressure remains a feature of spot markets, while new crop greens were mostly firmer and reds unchanged with an easier undertone. Importers worry a shortage of large green lentils could develop in 2006-07 because a massive decline in Canadian area and limited interest in growing this class of lentils in the United States.
