Vietnam's Rice Market Unchanged
HANOI - Jul 7/06 - SNS -- Rice markets in Vietnam were unchanged during the past week despite improved supplies of new crop rice on local markets, notes the U.S. agricultural attache here in an update on the market.
"Both local paddy and export indicative prices are unchanged compared with the last 2 weeks due to continued strong export demand. Summer-Autumn paddy remained at VND2,300-2,350/kg," the U.S. agricultural attache said.
The Exchange rate was $1 to VND15,997 as of June 30, 2006, about the same as compared with the week earlier.
