Jump in 2005 Grape HarvestWASHINGTON - Jul 6/06 - SNS -- Utilized grape production for 2005 totaled 7.83 million tons, up 26% from the 2004 crop, according to the USDA. The California crop, which accounts for 89% of the 2005 U.S. utilized grape production, is up 24% from the previous year. Also for California, wine type production increased 35%, while raisin type and table type production both rose 13% from 2004.
