2005 Pear Crop Down 6%WASHINGTON - Jul 6/06 - SNS -- Utilized pear production for 2005 is 823,670 tons, down 6% from the previous year., according to the USDA. Washington, the top producing State, utilized 415,000 tons, up 13% from 2004. California, the second largest producer at 202,000 tons, is down 25% from the previous season.
