Mixed Finish For Birdseeds
VANCOUVER - Jun 30/06 - SNS -- North American birdseed ingredient markets posted a mixed finish against news of an increase in white proso millet and safflower seedings in the United States.
Offsetting that was confirmation of a significant decline in both confectionary and oil-type sunflower plantings in that country.
The changes follow the previous week's revelation Canadian canaryseed area plunged from 475,000 acres last year to just 313,000 acres this year.
