Dairy Product Markets Decline
WASHINGTON - Jun 23/06 - SNS -- Dairy product markets in the United States closed the week ending June 17 with uniform declines, judging from this USDA update on the sector.
Cheddar Cheese prices paid for US 40 pound Blocks averaged $1.20 per pound. The price per pound declined 0.0 cents from the previous week. The price for US 500 pound Barrels adjusted to 38% moisture averaged $1.21 per pound, down 0.1 cents compared to last week.
Butter prices obtained for 25 kilogram and 68 pound boxes meeting USDA Grade AA standards averaged $1.15 per pound. The U.S. price per pound decreased 0.6 cents versus last week.
Nonfat Dry Milk prices realized for bag, tote and tanker sales meeting USDA Extra Grade or USPH Grade A standards averaged 82.0 cents per pound. The U.S. price per pound fell 0.1 cents from the previous week.
