Fewer Frozen Veggies on HandWASHINGTON - June 22/06 - SNS -- Frozen vegetable supplies fell 11% during May to finish the month at almost 1,386 million pounds, down 7% from the previous year, according to the USDA's latest report on agricultural products in cold storage. Compared to the previous month, stocks of asparagus, mixed vegetables, onion rings, and spinach were up. Compared to last year, stocks of asparagus, lima beans, broccoli, brussels sprouts, corn, green peas, mixed vegetables and southern greens were down. Supplies of potatoes in cold storage were lower, falling 6% on the month to 1,105 million pounds, down 174 million pounds from the previous year.
