Birdseeds Unchanged to FirmerVANCOUVER - Jun 16/06 - SNS -- North American birdseed ingredient markets were unchanged to firmer during the past week. White proso millet markets in the United States continued to advance. Grower bids in the U.S. mid-west were mostly around U.S. $6.50 per 100 pounds (cwt) for farmers dressed product delivered elevators, with instances of $7 being bid. This lifted nominal markets for recleaned millet to $7.50. Canadian canaryseed markets, by contrast, was unchanged on the week, as the needs of exporters and processors remained roughly in line with product creeping out of farms in western Canada.
