Lentils Mixed in Moderate DemandVANCOUVER - Jun 16/06 - SNS -- North American lentil markets finished the week mixed against moderate demand in both current and new crop shipping positions Efforts by some Canadian processors to stimulate buying by publicly asserting old crop green lentil markets will rise into new crop because of acreage cut backs are not resonating with all buyers. Interestingly, grain buyers for the same companies are telling growers prices will at best be flat into new crop. Looking at the situation in North American, buyers believe that while red lentil area is expanding rapidly in Canada, green lentil area is expanding rapidly in the United States.
