Chickpeas Quiet, Firm
VANCOUVER - Jun 16/06 - SNS -- Chickpea markets remain relatively quiet, with traders awaiting new crop merchandise to become available from Turkey and some Middle Eastern suppliers.
Desi chickpea markets continue to watch the evolving weather situation in Australia. Problems with that crop could be beneficial to North American suppliers now that Pakistan will be a demand factor until at least its next rabi season harvest in early 2007.
