Lentil Acreage Questions RemainVANCOUVER - Jun 9/06 - SNS -- Lentil markets were little changed under relatively quiet trading conditions. Seeding of this year's crop is virtually complete in Saskatchewan, leaving markets looking for direction on the final area planted. Estimates occupy a wide range, with some market participants believing the final area was at least 1,7 million acres, while others think it was closer to the Statistics Canada seedings intentions estimate of 1.324 million acres. As with ideas about other crops, views vary on a geographical basis, revealing growers do not appear to be responding with one voice to market conditions.
