Light Trade in BirdseedsVANCOUVER - Jun 9/06 - SNS -- Few changes were noted in birdseed ingredient markets under relatively quiet trading conditions. Canadian canaryseed markets eased during the week at the grower level, with bids ranging up to CDN $9.75 per 100 pounds (cwt) for farmers dressed merchandise delivered western Canadian processing plants, down 25 cents on the week. Millet markets were firmer in the United States, with some processors paying U.S. $6 cwt for farmers dressed white proso millet, but with instances of $7 being paid. Sunflower markets were unchanged to firmer, with new crop bids for oil-type sunflower ranging up to U.S. $12 cwt in Kansas, up 50 cents on the week.
