Canadian Pea Clearances Remain StrongVANCOUVER - Jun 9/06 - SNS -- Canadian specialty crop port clearances slowed in May, with field pea clearances down almost 33,000 metric tons (MT) from April and no other special crops shipped through terminals and Thunder or Vancouver which report to the Canadian Ports Clearance Association. Field pea clearances totalled 143,915 MT in May, with only 26,174 MT moving through Thunder Bay and 117,741 MT through licensed terminals in Vancouver.
