Dairy Product Output DeclinesWASHINGTON - Jun 2/06 - SNS -- Dairy product output in the United States rose above year earlier levels in April, but declined on the month, according to the USDA. Total cheese output (excluding cottage cheese) was 780 million pounds, 3.3% above April 2005 but 4.0% below March 2006. Italian type cheese production totaled 329 million pounds, 5.8% above April 2005 but 5.0% below March 2006. American type cheese production totaled 334 million pounds, 1.9% above April 2005 but 1.4% below March 2006.
