Warning Summary A gale warning is current for Victorian coastal waters east of Lakes Entrance. A strong wind warning is current for Victorian coastal waters between Wilsons Promontory and Lakes Entrance. Flood Warnings are current - see Flood Warning Summary. Current Weather Situation and Future Developments A low pressure system off the southern New South Wales coast will move eastwards over the Tasman Sea on Saturday. A high pressure system will develop south of the Bight during the weekend before drifting close to Victoria on Monday and Tuesday. Victoria Tonight and Saturday: Scattered showers in southern and mountain districts, tending to rain for a period overnight and during the morning in the far east with heavy falls possible. Snow above 1400 metres. Fine over the northern plains. A cool to cold day with light to moderate southerly winds, fresher in the southeast.
