U.S. Mango Board Members NamedWASHINGTON - May 31/06 - SNS -- The USDA made two appointments to the 20-member National Mango Board. The appointees were nominated by the board to fill the wholesaler/retailer positions. The new members are: Lawrence A. Kern, Irwindale, Calif.; and Ronald G. McCormick, Bentonville, Ark. Their initial term of office begins immediately and ends on Dec. 31, 2007. The National Mango Board is an industry-funded, national generic program of research and promotion, industry and consumer information conducted to maintain, expand and develop domestic markets for fresh mangos. USDA's Agricultural Marketing Service monitors operations of the National Mango Board.
