USDA Buys for 450 MT Pintos
KANSAS CITY - May 24/06 - SNS -- The USDA's Commodity Credit Corporation office here confirmed the purchase of 450 metric tons (MT) of pinto beans for shipment to Nicaragua.
Under terms of USDA PL-480 food aid tender Solicitation 056A, the USDA paid and average U.S. $20.36 per 100 pounds (cwt) on a delivered Gulf ports basis for the beans for shipment between June 21 and July 5 from inland plants and between July 6 and July 20 from plants located at the port.
