Pea and Lentil Tenders Reach 8,830 MT
KANSAS CITY - May 24/06 - STAT -- The quantity of peas and lentils covered by USDA PL-480 food aid tenders this season now totals 162,650 MT, compared to 153,820 MT last year.
Purchases of green peas are down 13,470 MT at 21,370 MT versus 34,840 MT last season. Food aid demand for U.S. regular lentils is up 9,190 MT from last year's 63,280 MT.
