Canaryseed Continues to Rally
VANCOUVER - May 19/06 - SNS -- Canadian canaryseed markets ended the week on a strong note as supplies available to the market fell far short of the needs of processors and exporters.
Prospective plantings this year will be down considerably from last year and more of the crop is in the hands of growers who have experience forcing markets to respect their needs.
With growers busy with spring field work and seeding, deliveries have fallen off, and markets have responded by rising.
