U.S. Dairy Product Stocks Rise in April
WASHINGTON - May 19/06 - SNS -- Stocks of dairy products rose in April, according to the USDA's latest report on agricultural products in cold storage.
Supplies of butter jumped 16% from the previous month to 197.4 million pounds, up 20% from a year ago.
Stocks of cheese rose 2% during the month to almost 815 million pounds, up 4% from the previous year.
