Demand Supports Vietnamese Rice
HANOI - May 9/06 - SNS -- Improving export demand lifted export asking prices for Vietnamese rice the last half of April, notes the U.S. agricultural attache here in an update on the market.
Discussing last week's markets the agricultural attache added, "Export prices soared last week due to higher demand from export markets. The higher export prices along with the cumulative effect of higher oil prices helped to firm up local paddy prices."
