India's Tender Lifts Market PsychologyCHICAGO - May 9/06 - SNS -- The world's wheat markets were given a boost as details of the latest import tender by India became available as that country performs a dramatic conversion from being a net exporter last year to a net wheat importer this year. India's change in trading status comes at the same time as China looks to be converting from being a net corn exporter to a net importer in the coming year. Both events have changed the trading outlook for the coming months. Interestingly, India is buying to replenish government stocks, with the result local traders and end users will not see the wheat unless government stocks are released.
