Mixed Week on Edible Bean MarketsVANCOUVER - May 5/06 - SNS -- Dry edible bean markets recorded a mixed performance during the past week, with prices easing for Latin American origins, while remaining relatively firm in North America. This year's white alubia bean harvest is underway in the earliest areas and has resulted in huge price disparities. While initial yields are relatively good, some processors remain worried by long range forecasts for wet weather and potential frosts in early June, when the main part of the crop is finishing developing.
